We Help HORNETS Fly Higher!
In 2013 White River Dollars for Scholars awarded scholarships worth $31,050 to 22 White River High School graduates. Over the past 47 years our Dollars for Scholars chapter, which began as a PTA effort, has helped hundreds of Hornet grads attend college, university and vocational school. All of it has happened because of the support of donors and volunteers who are dedicated to the success of our students.
White River Dollars for Scholars serves the White River Plateau and Upper Carbon River drainage under the northwest shoulder of Mt Rainier and embraces the towns of Buckley, Burnett, Wilkeson, Carbonado and South Prairie. Our role is to connect grads and donors and dollars in a way that advances our students and carries our communities into a productive future.
We help White River students toward their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, encouraging sustainable college choices through better understanding of the financial demands of different schools and the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships. We assist donors in achieving their charitable goals by providing an objective candidate selection process and 501(c)(3) tax deductibility.
